bocamike, the image needs to be stored online, such as on Photobucket. Then it can be posted. Real easy to do & Photobucket is free. It's what I use.

Most of my bass have come on poppers and clousers but my largest so far this year ate an orange san juan worm.....but pretty much everyone has givin you the correct information.....this forum has alot of talent

I like a crayfish imitation called Bassmaster which is known not only for its freshwater but saltwater prowess as well. See my latest post in the "Tackle Talk/Flies" thread in which I try to offer a description as well as a source for that pattern.

Thanks for all the advise everyone! I caught my first bass on a fly rod two nights ago. I caught it on an Empie's Pearl Deadly Shiner. I had another decent bass break off that I hooked on a popper. It was a blast!

Congratulations, nice fish. I've never heard of that fly, but after watching a fly tying video on it it looks similar to some of the streamers I use for bass and bream

Here in VA they would be:

1. A Chartreuse/black “*****-Creek’ type fly
2. A *****-Creek
3. Black or olive sculpin
4. Muddler minnows
5. Poppers.

No reason they would not work in MA.
