Urban Fishing Adventure; Green Trout & Bayou Bonefish

Sunday morning boys & I tried a local bayou based on pics we saw on Texas Flyfishers website. Just a quick trip after church and before hanging Christmas light.

Boys ready & eager to catch some whoppers! (not much of a pristine mountain stream):

We had a blast, caught 12+ bass from 6"-13", lost a beautiful channel cat, and the nice carp (darn thing was a blast). We used 5 & 6wts with a #4 & #6 green sparkle Wooley Boogers the best fly.

I'm jealous.. All I'm stuck with until march/april is trout...

I imagine that anglers from miles away can hear when you get into a carp with that medalist.. all that clicking from it running
