Default Some Fish & Flies

Some fish & flies from the past few weeks.

From my Mohawk series, it rattles.

The story of the one that got a way. I had no business using a 3X tippet. I was fishing for a good bream or maybe a cichlid, but as the kayak drifted out the shallow water into the beginning of a hole – that’s where they hang out – I get a good hit. It was fun on the 4wt until … until it started making a series of jumps. A 17”-18” headshaker. At some point there was more than 8 pounds of pressure on the tippet and she danced gleefully away.

Honorable Mention goes to the Barr’s Meat Whistle. No photos, but it caught quite a few fish despite being tied badly.

Very nice, congrats on the great looking fish and most of all thanks for sharing! Everything here is frozen and white, so seeing water and land takes some of the sting out of things!
