Some Fish & Scenery
Spring is beginning to spring around here, and the fish are moving around and fattening up. The flow has increased a slight bit, just enough to get the Guadalupe hybrids biting. They're not a real big fish, but are aggressive and fun to catch, beautiful markings.

The "Money Maker" caught the fish above, except for the baby.

A surefire way for me to catch a nice bass is to start bream fishing. This is why I bream fish with 12# or 10# fluorocarbon.:p

Sorry this turned out as a photo dump of the past few weeks rather than a report. I'm a visual person.

I had to search Hornpout.
It's a Channel Cat.

The Channel Cats where I grew up were silver with a dark blue black back. That and the big belly made me think it was something different that a channel catfish :o

Thnks for the report and pics! Was a bit early in the hill country this year but the river does look great. Now headed back to Wyoming in a day or two after spending some time down in Port O'Connor and will miss this warmth and fishing.
