1st fish of 2013
1st fish on the new TFO 6 wt
1st fish on a fly that I tied (clouser)
Ended up catching about 15 of these guys. Nothing huge but good to feel the bend again.
I want to say that after a winter of watching youtube vids and studying everything I could on this forum, I was making much better casts today. Thanks everyone for the help My roll casting has improved dramatically, and the use of single hand spey techniques like the snap T really helped! I also found that casting heavy(ish) clousers really isn't that hard at all. Also, I think cleaning and dressing my line really helped. I had exactly 0 wind knots today
Thats all!
Here's a bit of scenery from where I was (fly line in upper right corner)

Thanks! Unfortunately, SW Ohio is to be rained out this week, so it may be a little bit until the rivers are fishable again.

It's so nice to see all that green and the flowers, glad you've gotten some fish to get things going.

Your SW Ohio underbrush looks just about the same as MO underbrush.

It looks like that now but in a couple weeks you won't be able to see through it at all haha.

The underbrush near me looks like pavement....because it is pavement. If only I lived near any of this beautiful water.
