Default My goal for 2013 is completed!

I caught my very first grass carp ever, actually 2 of them. I was using my 8wt setup and hand tied flies that resembled aquatic vegetation.

Too early in the year to clear your 'bucket list.' That said, the fly ROCKS!

Nice gear selection to catch your carp and boy do they (usually) fight hard!

I know, right. Now I need to come up with something else, lol. Every year I try to add a new species of fish to my lifetime list. Slowly I've been adding fish to my fly fishing list.

Congrats on the fish and the flies you tied. I'm sure you'll come up with something else to do rest of the year.

Nice Grassies! Love the fly! Is that the one the fly tying nun makes?
