Default Broke in the new 6wt mangrove

Click the image to open in full size.Nothing spectacular......but a lot more fun catching smaller fish on the 6wt than the 8wt.

Started off with a foam popper and had a dew hits but no commitments. Then put this fly on and landed a fish.

Nice outing.....saw some bass as well as gar.

Best part was putting into practice a lot of the info i read in here. Thanks!!!!

Absolutely love it.

So much so that after casting the 7wt mangrove i ordered both the 6 and 8wt mangrove.

I actually traded in my 8wt bvk for the 8wt mangrove.

The mangroves are a blast to cast. Its effortless. They make me look like a better caster.

From my research they were made for casting towards the mangroves where pin point accuracy is needed.

If you get a chance....cast them and see how you like em

I did get to wiggle a 10wt but I'm looking to add another 7wt to my arsenal. Hope to try one out soon. I have a friend that broke his BVK several times and have been told the Mangrove has a feel similar to the BVK but has a different coating but I have no idea if that's accurate.

I was also told the bvk rods broke regularly. I never broke mine but i can tell you the mangroves are better built.

Im not sure what the parts are called but its the rings that you screw up to secure the reel.....even those are better built. I noticed on the bvk that they were less "beefy" than on the mangrove.
