Default Re: BATS on a Fly

Several bats.

A duck.

A number of water ouzel birds.

A muskrat ....put a serious bend in the rod and I let it perch on a rock where it was PO'd and screamed and chirped until it unhooked the fly from it's mouth.

It's always a surprise! All were caught on Dry Fly except the rat took a scud.

My old man hooked a bat when we were out fishing the Willowemoc in the Catskills. Hooked it on a Sulphur and from what I remember getting the hook out went pretty smoothly, flew right off once the hook was out.
