Default Smallmouth bass topwater video!

I clipped my windows phone to my wading belt and shot a few clips during a wide open topwater bite! Video quality; poor. Action; excellent!

Awesome. I wish there were more smallmouth around here. I've never caught one but they look like a lot of fun.

Yes it is a Crease Fly. They have a nice slender profile with great movement. They land fairly subtly so you can cast into a quiet, shallow area and sometimes not spook whatevers in there. I think the real key to this fly is that the folded foam is hollow. The result is a non-splashy pop, with a bubble trail.

The topwater action with smallmouths produces some of my favorite fishing!!
