Default Best bluegill day this year!

I simply tore up the bluegills and white perch today! Only feather flies ..... I left the Gulp home today. LOL I must have caught >100. The fall bite seems to be starting? No pix!! way too busy enjoying this wonderful afternoon.

I was mixed up?

"How did I get chunkin' plastic with my lovely Helios?"
"I'm so glad I got off that merry go round"
"gotta get off from this ride"

Haha! You got UN-GULPED! Every spring I go on my old friend JBs boat to catch a mess of Crappie for the freezer! And every spring there is this little friendly rivalry his Gulp and ultralite against my fly rod and nymphs! Don't get me wrong those mini Gulps are deadly but I'm still winning 7 springs to zilch! And don't think I don't rub it in at appropriate times!! Like every chance I get !!

Hardy,

Sure thing! I love to take pix every time I go fishing. Next time, I promise!

I was using plastic **** with my top shelf fly rod!! I don't know why? That's why the "Valley of the Dolls" video?

I caught so many huge bluegills and gigantic white perch today ...... that they tore the hackle off most of my flies!

A little white marabou and some dubbing fixed the problem! I love to tie flies late at night, with a glass of wine, and my computer with mp3's and fly fishing forums!

check out the pic:

Sounds like retirement is going well. I will most likely be joining you late next year. Just looking for a place to call home.
