Default Fall like weather continues!

Another beautiful "fall like" day here in PA. The next two will get hot again?

I've been nailin' the bluegills and crappie with my 3 wt. Already the middle of Sept, and the fish are still on top at twilight?

The crappie still stay at the bottom, so the best fly for them is still a plastic minnow on a tungsten bead head jig.

The 'gills take a no weight micro bugger with gusto. A tip: I put a drop of Sally Hansen "Hard as Nails" on my micro buggers and leave in the vise for a few minutes upside down. This makes a clear shell on top of the bugger (it looks so real)

The fish are getting big in the fall. The bluegills are averaging 8" and the crappie around 10"

Tight Lines,

I wish we would get some fall weather here. The temps are supposed to approach 100 today and could possibly be a new record high for this date. Too much summer and too much winter here in Missouri.

Those are great fish and the crappie look particularly tasty! Thanks for posting.
