Default Favorite 8 weight bass flies

Hey yall, what are your three favorite bass flies? I will be fishing a relatively small farm pond soon. I have caught fish in it with my crank bait. The only obvious bass spots are two big boxes, and a really little dock/walk thing. Thanks

I like to fish "on top" and if you're tying your own then the Gartside gurgler is easily the easiest to tie while being the best bug to use.
My favorite is actually a "storebought" sneaky Pete.
I make my own, but the commercial ones are outstanding especially in yellow or black.

I'll second the Gurgler. A great top water fly that can be easily tied with craft foam, saving you the expense of buying popper bodies.

For subsurface, it's hard to beat a leggy wooly bugger in black.

I agree, gurglers are great fish catchers and very easy to cast.
I don't mind these slider style bass flys either.

If it's not on top it's not on!
Good luck with it.

Most of my bass fishing is done top water, in which case....Poppers, sliders etc are hard to beat. I have tied up a bunch of Gurglers just haven't taken anything on them yet.
I have tried subsurface with Clousers and Wooley Buggers, with no success to date though.

For topwater, my three favorite are:

Chartruese Boogle Bug
Yellow Block Head Popper
Chartruses Sneaky Pete

For subsurface any minnow pattern or diver pattern.
