Default Top water smallie!

last evening I made a trip to the river with topwater in mind. It was a little slow, but I did manage some fish and a few nice ones. Really wanted to get some good surface strikes on video, but the bite was too slow.

Here is the fight, land and release of a very nice topwater smallie

I tried two other sound bites and youtube dinged me for "Copyright infringement" I hate that! So I had to choose from their lame selection of free music and just didn't feel like spending a lot of time at it

the last couple years Ive been wading the river with my DSLR in a chest pack. The camera strap was around my neck and unholstering the camera and hitting the on switch took all of 3 seconds. It was high risk cargo to wade with, but the images I captured were almost worth it. Since I got my gopro, its so much easier to strap it to me and wade around with. The videos are a bit of a novelty for me and I've been enjoying it. The battery life is awful however. It does take decent pictures too, but nothing like the Nikon.

I put together a short compilation from the past two outings. I lost some really good footage due to bad smudging on the lens. got to pay closer attention to that.

I do love the Smallies
