Default Back to flyfishing after a long time

Hey guys. I stumbled onto this site a couple of days ago, and was very happy to see all of the warmwater info. I haven't flyfished for 5 or 6 years, but my youngest son has been showing an interest, so I got him a 6 wt rod for his birthday, and he has been practicing the casting. Today I went out and managed to catch a few good bluegill, and some small bass. These were caught in a farm pond that is overstocked with bass, so 90% of the bluegill are 8" and over. The biggest four were a shade over 9". and as usual I lost the biggest one at the boat. They liked the peacock and squirrel streamer in the picture (size 4), and I caught a few on a big squirrel and copper nymph. My photos were too big to attach, but My avatar is one of them.

I have three boys: 13, 16, and 18. The 13 year old seems to have a little more time for the hunting and fishing. The older two are getting too busy more and more.

I'd rather hunt fish than bait deer any day.
