Fall foliage on the Etowh River

The river was up somewhat and only three fish landed for the days outing, we had one very large Spotted Bass on but he went under the boat and broke us off! The Fall foliage was well worth the trip but we had a guy flip a yak over and we was able to rescue him with no problems. Kayaks are nice but just can't over load them! He said he was glad we were close by which were glad to give a helping hand. Just to be out on a pretty day was blessing itself!

Lambster: The Etowh River sure is pretty this time of year! Good work on the rescue, I can see that kayak would be a little top heavy with that big cooler strapped in the back.

I'm envious that you guys are fishing in short sleeves! Winter showed up here this weekend with a vengance! It is snowing in the Rockies above 10k and lots of cold wind to go with it.
