Thanks Frank. I didn't realize that.

It's pretty interesting how the tinkering with and refining of equipment from days gone by eventually evolved into the awesome gear we have today.

First off, please let the "deceptive marketing" dead horse lie and stop the kicking.

Next, has anybody cast/fished/bought one of the Loomis ShoreStalker rods? They all look appealing, but the 8' 5wt with full wells grip and a fighting butt looks pretty exciting to me. G. Loomis Shorestalker Fly Rods at BEARSDEN.COM Those PacNW boys may have created the perfect TX Hill Country bass/etc rod.
