The Truckee has been on fire lately and I keep hearing good reports from Pyramid as well. Might hit the river this weekend with some Pyramid camping next weekend.

I fished the T 2 weekends ago and hooked a nice 20 inch brown. Found a huge 8 pt buck dead in about a foot of water too. Looks like he tried crossing during that cold temp stretch and didn't make it out.

cool on the brown, bummer on the buck. Gonna see if I can slip out to the river this weekend but with the recent rain, not sure if it is gonna happen.

This was kind of cool to see a mom with her two fawns. Wish I had a better camera. This is at the Floriston exit down a dirt road and down the railroad easement. Most always pretty quiet.
