Default East Carson near Markleevillee

Greetings all. I'm taking my family to the East Carson (near Markleeville) on their last "camping trip" of the season (in a lil cabin at the CRR). And I'll likely be able score a pass from the boss to toss some line a few times throughout the week. Stoked!
Anyway, I hear it's a little low flow-wise right now, was wondering if anybody has been up there in the past few weeks or so. Maybe someone kind enough to share advice on flies, spots during low flows, etc. I have only been there once for a day trip myself, and we stayed relatively close to Hangman's Bridge that whole day, so I can't say I know the area very well....

Thx in advance,
Wrex.

The spots that I am going to recommend are public knowledge. Other good spots, you're on your own.

If you are fishing above Hangman's Bridge, the bridge areas are best places to fish since that is where Alpine County plants fish. Other than that, find some pullouts and start walking.

As for downstream, park at Hangman's Bridge, hike downstream towards Markleeville Creek, and work your way back up.

Fly selection:
Nymphs: 14-16 Gold Ribbed Hare's Ear, 12-16 Prince Nymph, 8 Anderson's Bird of Prey October Caddis, 18 Blue Wing Olive, 8 brown Rubberlegs Stonefly
Dries: 14-16 Elk Hair Caddis, 10 orange Stimulator, 20 olive Klinkhamer, 20 Griffith's Gnat
Streamer: 8 Woolly Bugger (choose your color), 8 tan Sculpzilla, 8 olive Barr's Slumpbuster
Miscellaneous: 12 pink San Juan Worm
