Default Mid May Stream/River Fishing opportunities in Southern Utah ?

OK so my wife and I are taking her daughter out to Utah next month to see the glorious, spectacular NPs in the southern part of Utah. We plan on being there 4 to 5 days, and I wondered about the fly fishing opportunities in the streams that time of the year ? Thought I might take some fishing equipment with me, but I've got a bad feeling it might be the peak time for snowmelt thru that area so maybe fishing is not expected to be very good then ?
