It generally depends what I'm fishing for.

Rods...

Stillwaters (trout) - Hardy Demon 9ft 6" #7, Greys X-flite 9ft 6" #7 or St Croix avid 9ft #5. I also use a Greys G-tec when it's blowing a hoolie.

Rivers (trout and grayling) - St Croix avid 8ft #4, Greys Streamflex 10ft #4, Orvis Superfine 6ft #2 or Sage TXL 7ft 10" #4 (perfect for overgrown rivers).

Rivers (salmon) - Greys GRXi 15ft #10/11 or a 10ft #8 Greys G-tec.

Float tubing - The Greys Streamflex mentioned above.

Saltwater (sea bass) - Sage Xi2 9ft #8 or Greys Platinum XD saltwater 9ft #9, I actually rescued the Sage from a recyling centre and gave it a makeover. :D

And the spare rods - Sage Launch 9ft #5 (4 pc.), Orvis western 2 9ft 6" #6, Vision 3zone 9ft #5 and an unmarked blank with no handle or rings.

Reels...

Hardy Demon 7000 (got with a 50% discount from a CLA game fair)
Hardy Demon 3000
Hatch 5+
Hardy Swift MKII 925
Greys GRXi+
Lamson Konic 2.0 and 3.5
Greys G-tec 310
About a dozen Greys GLA reels
Lamson velocity II 4.0 (with a spare spool)
A very old Hardy reel which was passed onto me by a relative

There's a lot of stuff there but I only spend my money on fishing... :D

I know a guy who lives down the road (and the same age as me) who literally sleeps with his gear... :lol2:

For getting it for 65 dollars the rod is fantastic, has a small deadspot but an amazing value for the rod. i havent fished it yet, but casting it in the yard is awesome, shoots 80-90' of line without double hauling.

I use a $40 combo from Dick's Sporting Goods.... I feel sad...LOL:(
