Rear most fly on a two fly rig. Either under an indy, tight lined or as a dropper.
I like to tie them smaller than the "usual". I think the "standard" recipe from John calls for a 14 2XL hook, but I really like them on a 16 1XL hook.

Like any other wieghted nymph. They are closest to a mayfly and stonefly nymphs so fish them where mayflies and stoneflies are in the right sizes and wire color.

Two rods rigged in the garage, mag clamps ready for the Jeep. Both rods have 'Copper Johns' on the end; they just work. Why is this 'Bad Idea t-shirt with a well stacked blue eyed advertising on my screen.. never mind. That was wife 1.0.

Dry Dropper/favorite dropper fly in size 14-18, in copper of course. If I was down to 2 nymphs it would be this and a brown Girdle Bug. Of course that is not the case. I think the fish are attracted by the flash after they turn away from the dry fly.
