No clue. As others have said, I just cast. I use a full sinking forward line when I fish sink tips. The only difference between that and my floating lines is I get the leaded bit into the rod, give it a double haul and its off. These are your basic Orvis sink tips so nothing particularly special, but they cast nicely.
