PS. I noticed you mentioned the Orvis Clearwater. I have a tip flex 8 weight and its a cannon. Its not as fast as a Sage, but its a zippy rod. I would guess its the same in a 5wt. If you're fishing big water, throwing streamers, or going for bass as well it should be good. For average size trout using smaller flies it might be overkill. Maybe look at the mid flex model if you go that route. Also, in the classified there is a member selling some very sweet Sage and Winstyon rods under the heading classic rods.
