Balanced Leech Fly Technique.

For you folks who fish under indicators in stillwaters. If you aren't familiar with the "Balanced" technique, this is a good one. Love the tip at the end of putting the fly with the simi seal dubbing in hot water to relax the fibers.

My original stillwater mentor uses the technique at times, and it does work, sometimes.
I find it a little too passive, like midges under an indicator, but no arguing with its effectiveness!

Fishing these balanced leeches at ice out this spring made a believer out of me. We had one instance where my two friends and myself all hooked up at the same time and my 8+ lb. rainbow was the smallest of the three fish and all on the balanced leech.
If you want a longer fly use a smaller bead and extend the pin out further from the eye.
