I'd take a look at the Orvis Safe Passage Wader Tote...$49.

I bought one from Cabela's today along with some supa cheep SLF hanks for $14.99. Its got mesh for ventilation, but is intended more for trips in the truck than flying to Alaska.

I picked up one of those mesh pet carriers & it's been all over the country. I keep my waders & wading shoes in it after drying them & it is holding up well.

I found the Orvis Safe Passage Wader Bag pretty minimal for space. If you're amenable to going a little higher in price, you might want to take a look at the Fishpond Saddlehorn. It has a capacious wet gear segregated compartment plus plenty of other space, and the best thing is that it's got wheels and a handle, which make it much more comfortable transporting through an airport.
