Crooked or Acklins DIY information

Hello everyone. We are considering a trip to one of these islands with a family of 4 (2 adults 2 kids 12 and 9). I am looking for information on the DIY opportunities in this area. Fishing is secondary (have to have my priorities). Also would appreciate any info on lodging. We would like a place on the beach, 2 bedroom, and a kitchen for cooking. Thanks in advance.

Acklins would be my choice, know a guy that does DIY and it's his go to place. Problem with Acklins for the non-fisherman, nothing at all to do except maybe read, beach, some snorkeling some kayaking.

Both islands are good fishing, Acklin's would be my definite choice for DIY. Problem is, Nothing else to do except read, lay on beach. No sightseeing, shopping, etc. Nothing.
