DIY Caye Caulker in October

Hey Y'all- I am headed back to CC in October for 7 days with the wife and 1 year old. I am planning on getting a guide for at least 1 half day trip- but also interested in doing a bunch of DIY stuff- Any particular recommendations for spots on the Caye- last trip there caught a bone right in front of the house on the southern end of the village.
