Weather was great but water was high!!

Well the second float is in the books!! The weather was great, sunny with temps in the mid 40's to low 50's. Windy most the day but really on the afternoon.

The fishing was tough. Lots of water!! We only saw a couple of fish on the main river and only boated one of those. It was a nice cutty though. Click the image to open in full size.

At the end of the day we did manage to locate some feeding fish in the mouth of Spring Creek. Greg rolled 3 or 4. I rolled about the same and brought 3 to the boat as well. All were in the 10 to 12 inch range. But it was nice to get some dry fly action in as well as spend a day on the water!!

Davo: Great trip report and photo! Tough fishing but I'm sure it felt great getting back on the water.

That is the front of the boat. It's was only the boss and myself fishing so when your not rowing you get the front. When we have three fishermen we trade off as we rotate through the rowers seat.

By the time you get home the wild flowers will be blooming Dave. This picture reminds me of spring here. I took a 5 day float in May and caught some fish but didn't get a picture of any of them. It was cold and none of the fish were huge so I just cut em lose. If I would have had someone to take the pictures I would have got them all on the record. It's nice to have a cameraman, nice trout there.
