  1. A day on the Current with my son

My son and I haven't been able to spend time alone together for a while, so we decided to meet on the Current River, at Montauk State Park in the Missouri Ozarks for a couple days fishing. We fished below the park in the morning and then in the park in the afternoon. Caught and released several nice rainbows for the day. And since someone was with me to take pictures ...

I love autumn in the Ozarks.

  2. Wyoming/Colorado 2015

Have been back a little more than a week, so I thought it was about time I posted from my trip to Wyoming and Colorado with my friend John from Kansas City.

Our plan was to drive from KC to Laramie and then fish our way to Riverside/Encampment, WY. From there, on to Walden, CO. In my experience that isn't necessarily the case. It is higher elevation on average so they lakes will ice out later than rmnp will. The eldora area and brainerd lakes area are what I have ...

  5. Hooking Salmon, soon to be tested again.

I saw the post from Scottish Salmon Fishing Surgery and began to write my own take on hooks and lost fish. Within a short while I realized my comments amounted to a thread hijack and were out of place on someone else's thread so I 'Cut & Pasted' to here and then went on at length. Maybe it can be helpful to others, I should say that I do the same thing with trout and steelhead as the salmon.

I feel compelled to add this thought for you before you would go on to read what I am ...
