I have never fished for Steelhead, but when I worked for the Univ of Alaska Fairbanks I had a student that went down to Yakutat for a week with a couple friends. They didn't have much money but were Mormon and had a contact down there that was willing to drive them out to the river, where they camped and a week later came to pick them up. That was an awesome trip, but wet, or should I say WET. In the end it was worth it, the largest fish they landed was a 42 inch monster, but they lost a lot of fish to the logs and other structure in the water, but it was an adventure they will never forget.
