how i release a barbel, i try that the fish stays always in the water, i dont make a pressure on the body, in dont weight and measure the fish, i try to maximize the chances of survival of the fish and minimise the damage

i finished my season in munich with two chubs,
somebody asked me how i cook this bonnie and muddy tasting fish, i will show a recipe:


the pictures explaines all, only thing, you must prepeare the chub with rice vingar curry one night and mix flour with potato starch 4:1

i bought a new fly rod, its a shakespeare agilty rise fly rod 6ft class 3
i searched a cheap short fly rod, to cast better in my small stream, we have many trees, and the branches hanging inside, in front, and beside ,that makes it difficult to cast very well, and i loosed many flies...
but now, with a short rod, the casting is more easier....
60 euros for the rod and 12 euros for the line,

i tried today the new rod and line, with a dry, it works fantastic

2 nice chubs

i catched one rainbow 1,4kg and 52 cm

my first pike this year with a streamer

At my first fishing day with my Fly rod i catched a chub with 50cm and 1600g
i catched him with a nymph, but it was very dificult, because at a lake, it isnt easy, because you must see when the fish takes the nymph
