    Default Bruising Friday

It was my weekend with my daughter and my son was gone to Myrtel Beach for the week but was due home on saturday. My daughter wanted to go horseback riding on sat. so that was or plans, but as usual when she comes to my house it rains and it did.Well friday as i'm on my way home she calls and says dad can i go to nannys to see her (my grandmother) so i tell yes i will come get her but she wanted to stay awhile .Ok i said i'll fish a bit and come then.So i go home and gear up put waders on at the house and make them into waist waders instead of chest. I get to where i want to fish at 5:30pm and the water is dingy.I aways catch a fish in the first deep hole i fish and today is no different except when i start i'm easing to head of the pool when i step on this rock thats rolls away and all i can do is go in over my head with a last ditch effort to avoid that i therw myself toward the bank and came down hard on my left forearm and elbow.Man that hurt but i didn't even get wet or drop my rod (the most important thing). After finding i was ok other than some bruises i got my first rainbow of the evening in the 9" range . Then i got this nice brown in 15" range.

All in all not a bad evening and i'm still sore today. The fish i caught were on a Pink San Jaun Worm,Golden Stonefly Nymph, and Girdle Bug, 11 total.

Stim, I hate when that happens, but at least you caught a few fish to help mitigate the pain!

What in the world for...just put on your wader belt don't pull them up to your chest and stuff the suspenders inside. Now you have waist highs.

What a way to start! Congrats on the fish and glad you're okay!
