At first glance I presumed these to be Sunapee Trout once native to New Hampshire and Maine. I actually caught one in Ragged River (1994) but without An official taxonomy evaluation I cannot swear to it. I believe they were introduced to headwaters lakes and drainage's in Idaho so the likelihood exists that they were Sunapee and not golden trout.

I replied on this because I had only ever come into contact with one fish that looked like that exactly before.

    6ft tall grass:

    Tucannon near the mouth:

Didn't expect Bass but that's what took my fly today. The pic is the second Bass caught and the biggest of three I caught. Strongest fighting fish yet for me on a fly rod ( remember I'm a newbie at this ). Barely got the fly in the water and it hit it hard. Actually got to hear the drag zing as the Bass took off. It was worth it walking through all that tall grass

Got a couple new species on the fly while in Northern Ontario... whitefish, and walleye.

I was fortunate enough to go on an Alaskan cruise for my honeymoon. One of the days was in Skagway, but we opted to drive into the Yukon in search of some grayling in the stillwater. Once the local RCMP assisted me with my one day license, I got my line wet and it wasn't long until I began catching some beautiful grayling. I did wet wade in several different waters in both Alaska and Yukon. Weather was spectacular.
