Thanks I count this as one of the finest fish I've landed. Not the largest, but one of the most beautiful and spirited. He was not willing to come to the net... his reel sizzling run sent me running through waste deep current as he went for the bank (hooked him on the seam below an island) ... and he took my leader right over a rock so as I was chasing him down had to throw a rollcast/mend to pop my leader off the rock before it got tension. Finally got him to chill enough to turn his head upstream shortly after that. He was a beast - was very, very happy.

Interestingly, my friend Bill caught this exact same fish two weeks earlier. (The Walleye above.)

And last but not least, Lake Sturgeon on FLY, NO BAIT. Yes I have figured it out.

As soon as I get coordinated with a person who can film me do it, I am going to go get one with a float tube. I also plan to wear 2 life jackets.

Wow, you guys are landing some darn nice fish, congrat!

Dan, I think you get the prize for most unusual with that Sturgeon on a fly.............I sure hope you can get another that is filmed, that would really be something to see!
