Saskatchewan Angler Lands Potential World-Record Rainbow

According to FishingSaskatchewan.ca, Adam Konrad of Saskatoon Saskatchewan pulled a 43-pound, 6-ounce rainbow trout from Lake Diefenbaker on June 5th. If everything checks out, Konrad’s catch would overtake the current 42-pound, 2-ounce world-record rainbow. Check out the incredible photos here

This trout was not caught on a fly rod. I'll bet he'd snap my 5wt in two in the blink of an eye. This is no doubt the largest rainbow that I've ever seen... except for those that I've lied about over the years.

We'll keep you posted on the development of this story and potential world record.

So, what is your biggest rainbow?
