Though the coloration and blotchy markings below the lateral line are a bit of a variation on the average fish; this is surely a rainbow as all have opined. Rainbows and their cutthroat cousins show dramatic variation in color and spot patterns throghout their broad range. This looks like a stream-bred fish to me just smaller than most Yampa rainbows I've seen.
