    Default Rainy Day Success

Managed to get a day off from work, so I decided I should probably hit the trout waters. Went to a stretch that I have never fished, but I knew there are good fish lurking. (I saw a rainbow that was a 2 footer) Started off pounding the bottom with a couple of nymphs and picked up a few. Started to see a few risers, so I switched over to a #16 BWO with a #20 brassie dropper. Picked up my best two fish on this combo. Finally my soaking clothes forced me back to the car.

all of the browns I fish are wild, hardly any browns get stocked in SD, just rainbows. And as for the reel, it's a Cabela's RLS II

I've had PLENTY of good days in the rain! So long as it's not downpouring I keep fishing and catching just like normal...I guess the fish don't know when it's raining. Looks like a nice day out, glad you got to enjoy it!
