Skagit River - Mid November.

I am planning to cross the arctic tundra and do some fishing on the Skagit in mid-november.

Any pointers you would like to share with me as in pools, flies etc ?

Never fished there before, but a buddy of mine has done a wee bit.

If you don't get much in the way of feed back here, hit the SpeyPages web board. Many of the posters fish the Skagit on a regular basis. That said, my guess would be the Rockport/Concrete area. Doubt much in the way of finny friends would be in the Sauk.

As for flies ..... BIG on heavy sink tips.

Sorry I never have fished it, call your guide service or local fly shop for the low down on what when where and why. If these fish are ocean run then the statndard patterns should work well. If their lake locked the the locals will be your best hope.
