Default Dry Fly Gold in April

Fished a favorite stream with my son and his friend this past Monday, April 1st, and no this is not an April Fool's prank...

Midges were on top and the cutties were all over them. I tied on a callibaetis thorax dry and a midge emerger dropper and I caught my first fish on dry flies for the year. Woo Hoo!

Believe-it-or-not they took the size 14 callibaetis:

JP: Your going to have to move out of the Rain Forrest!

Kelly: Congrats on the great looking Cutties, must be really nice to have trout coming up to dries this early! Yahoo!

Outstanding pictures... and fish of course! I love the colors on the cutts.

Snow is all gone where I live in Rigby, but we hit the Box on Saturday (yesterday) and there was enough snow to make it difficult for me , but we hiked in and out and had a great day.
