    Being IA yep it would be a spring creek, lots of them the further NE of the state you get.

    Yes, we have many spring fed creeks in the Iowa portion of the Driftless Area. It's unfortunate native brook trout aren't as common as they once were, but I can't complain too much about catching browns.
