Thread: Hitting the water tomorrow

  1. Default Hitting the water tomorrow

As stated earlier just getting back into fly fishing after a 16 year hiatus. Going to head out tomorrow afternoon to a southern Ontario creek. Very short section open all year round for fishing. Need a little more rain as Steelhead are stacked up at the mouth but it is holding some but are very shy, as I was told by a guy who is there regularly. New rod and reel so taking some wooly buggers, Eggsucking leaches, some nymphs and a few streamers and see how it goes. Going to be just above freezing but want to get in as much as I can before freeze up.
If anyone has anymore opinions of other good flies to take please let me know.
