I also bought the 5000 DD version, should be here today. Going to pair it up with my redington CT 6 wt and rio gold line(old version).

You can pretty much take any quality reel from the major brands that would fit that rod. If you like a light reel, large diameter, somewhat quiet, with a reliable drag, look at a Lamson Speedster.

I have a Hardy DD6000 that I use on a 9' 5wt rod (not a Zenith).
Balances perfectly.
