Default Lower Sacramento River trip. 3.16.2014

So on a last minute call a friend of mine called me the night before to take a trip on the Lower Sac. Well after debating it in my mind being I never fished the lower Sac only the upper I decided to go.
Turned out we had a crazy fishin day!!! Quite a few fish. Also the crazy fighting fish!!! Here are some pics..... I just now got some free time to get this posted but hope you all enjoy the few pics.

Posted this on another forum and I see some of the members from there here...... I guess another look at it

We lost some pretty big fish I will say. It's almost like a #5 rod is just not enough!!!

Great Pics, Thanks for sharing... Shorts huh. We have a few more weeks at least before I will be breaking out the shorts.

Nice Fish. I used to live in Citrus Heights and fished the Sac, the American and the Feather, all within about 30 minutes driveway to boat ramp. Sure miss that . . . and shorts in March.

Looks like an awesome day on the water, congrats! Can't believe you were fishing in shorts, it is barely breaking 50 degrees here.

Thanks for the compliments guys! Yes you could of worn shorts I acutally had waders on believe it or not hehehe. I forgot my pair of shorts in the car as we launched and fished with waders. Either way yes a great trip and will do back when time permits being shad are coming in I will go after a few of them. Actually caught my first today on the American river.
