Took a kayak recon run on my local impaired urban waterway yesterday afternoon & spotted this guy. Full camo stealth mission at daybreak produced the hookup.

Took a size 20 zebra midge, with my 3wt 10' nymph rod. Was a fun battle in quick water!

I went out to one of the local lakes yesterday, fished all day and caught one fish. I figured with the cooler weather it would be streamer fishing, so I took two streamer rods, but caught nothing on streamers. I got there at first light and shortly after that the fish were rising all around me, but I couldn't see anything on the water. So I switched to a double midge rig with no weight on indicator and hooked into this big brown on a size 20 Jujubee midge.

Went out to one of the local lakes this morning. Again there were quite a few fish coming to the surface, I asked another angler about it and he thinks it is just the trout going through their spawning ritual. I really have no idea, but they sure don't seem to want to eat. I ended up catching two browns, one was really colored up.

I went out lake fishing again this morning, I made some changes in my presentation and this time I had a little better luck, landed five, all browns, the brookies seem to have disappeared.
