    Default Butter and Bronze

Well me and dad headed out today dead set on smallies. That didn't pan out all to well. We were fishing the South Fork of the New River and it was just packed with tubers, kayaks, and canoes. We managed a few smallies in about 3 hours time, the fishing was very slow. We then decided to go hit a trout stream and see what was happening there. It was a good decision, the fishing was great. At one point I caught about an eight inch brown and had a beastly brown chase it.

Funny you should mention the beast chasing the fish on your line; the exact same thing happened to me today. I thought I'd get two for the price of one, but no dice.

And by looking at that last pic, I see what your treating your flys with to have such great success.

Great report and beautiful pics--- great stuff. Sounds like you'll need to go back with some brown trout looking streamers and get that big beast now that you know where he--- or she -- hangs out.
