The Lemon

This was Mike's Pike aka Lemon. He's the one with the proper hat. It was old friends returning to the Pere Marquette last Friday. It was cold ...no place for old men. We were swinging for Steel and struck out. The only joy was the Pike and according to the guide gossip the only fish caught on the lower river last Friday; however, not sufficient conciliation for the trip. The conciliation was two old friends, memories from Cabo, Dakotas, Everglades, Keys, Bahamas points in between and JWB out of a plastic cup whilst dining on Deli rotisserie Chicken...

Cannot stand it...I'm goin back next week...cold be damned...they say the creek is rising and the sky will be cloudy. This time I'm not driving...here's the booked plan a first...train to Chicago Union Station...L to Midway (MDW)...then this... a scheduled charter from MDW to Manistee Blacker MBL 50 min flight arrive 2:50 pm...they say a Donier Jet 30 seater so Turbo prop or Modified fan we shall see...flying into a lake airport in the winter cannot be riskier than multiple times into Fresh Creek Andros from Lauderdale on used up Aztecs or 180s
