Default Raven Fork ( NC ) Trophy trip

Our Guides visited the waters of Cheorkee NC. to fish the Flyfishing Trophy waters of Ravens Fork, the waters were clear as well as the great overcast conditions which made the fishing alot of fun! Total Trout landed were 12 in the net, 11 Rianbows and 1 Brown , the largest being 22 inch Rainbow with plenty of energy!!! Flies of the day were streamers from BigYflyco. Mr.Copper and De Silver which produced trout all day long....... we did try several nymphs with no hook ups... we did fish the 2.2 miles taking 6 1/2 hours to complete. We did encounter several snakes! We did see 2 Elk in the early morning hours, they were cool to see as well as the beauty along the river. We did see 15 Golden Trout that wouldn't hit a thing...... these fish are better caught in the evenings! We had a battle of the guides with Lambster landing 7 Trout and the largest of the day! Bugmister and Smoky landing one each. Now Smoky's son did hook 3 fish and made Dad look bad but we all know that the next day good be a differn't count! The water is very tough in places....... some of us did go swimming, the rocks are very slick!!! Bugmister went swimming the most! Anyhow it was a great trip, we'll be doing guide trips to Ravens Fork Trophy area for 2009 and its a fun trip! Godbless! Tight Lines! We'll post photo's in the gallery!
