Default A stupid question about inflatable rafts...

Please forgive my ignorance. I'm trying to cobble together a raft and homemade frame for floating local rivers. I figure that I can DIY for about half of what Flycraft, Smithfly, etc charge.

Now for the dumb part...can you wear wading boots with cleats/spikes in a raft with a drop stitch floor? I assume that the answer is no unless you put down some type of floor material (rubber mat? Plywood with no slip tape/epoxy and sand?)

Roktreads are OK- other studs would be a bad idea. I go to carpet stores and pick up free scraps out back by the dumpster. Bring a piece for the angler to stand on if they have studs. Have to be careful getting in and out of the boat, too.

Thanks. I thought that might do the trick. Not a guiding situation, basically me and my brother.

Carpet scrap can be a lifesaver!- If you take anybody new, guarantee they won't have thought of studded boots and the damage to your boat
