Rat river?

Im going camping to nicolet national forest by Blackwell, Wi pretty soon. The campground i will be staying at is walking distance from Rat river.
Has any of you ever fished Rat river in Nicolet forest?
What should i expect: smallies, trout?
How is the wading situation?
