Trout in the Amable Du Fond River?

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone's had experience with the Amable Du Fond between Kiosk and the Mattawa. I know it has a healthy bass population, but I was curious if anyone's found it a good river for brookies. Heading out there in a couple weeks, but testing the waters here first, Cheers!

There is defiantly "NO" trout in the Amable Du Fond

Which is why I will more than likely be there fly fishing for the trout opener or the weekend after. I grew up in the area but have not been back in awhile but am headed to Mattawa for the opener and may even go right into Algonquin Park at the top of the river at Kiosk. If you have never been on that river before there is a massive gorge - Waterfalls - you don't want to go over by accident!
